Truth With a Timer

Give one brave truth ninety seconds, then answer it with a concrete act of care or courage.

The Spark

  1. 1

One person chooses a card and speaks for up to ninety seconds while everyone else listens without defending or solving.

  2. 2

Listeners reflect one sentence they heard, then offer one small response that can happen now or later; the speaker accepts, adjusts, or declines it.

  3. 3

If the response is an affectionate or practical action, confirm a fresh yes and try it for two minutes before deciding together whether to continue.

Why you might like it

The timer contains vulnerability, and the action step keeps honesty from disappearing into good intentions.

Make it softer

Use prompts about shared time, routines, or everyday affection.

Turn up the Heat

Use the curiosity prompt to name a fear, ambition, unspoken need, or boundary and design one respectful first step.

Disclosure never creates an obligation; do not trial an activity unless everyone involved gives a clear and unpressured yes.
