Safety & Consent
A Spark is always optional.
Every activity should be freely chosen, easy to pause, and comfortable for everyone involved. A generated idea never overrides a boundary.

Consent comes first
- Everyone involved must be an adult and able to consent freely.
- Agree on boundaries before starting and check in as the activity changes.
- Silence, hesitation, intoxication, pressure, or a past yes is not current consent.
- Anyone can pause, change, or stop an activity at any time, without needing to justify the decision.
Use judgment
Adapt or skip anything that does not fit the people, relationship, setting, physical ability, health, experience, or comfort level involved. Start gentler than you think you need to and communicate throughout.
Spark Lab is not medical advice. If an activity raises a health, pregnancy, pain, mobility, medication, or mental-health concern, pause and consult an appropriate qualified professional.
Products and physical safety
- Follow product instructions, cleaning guidance, and expiration dates.
- Use body-safe products intended for the activity and check material compatibility before combining products.
- Avoid impaired breathing, unsafe restraint, circulation loss, unstable surfaces, and public or unlawful settings.
- Stop immediately if anyone experiences pain, numbness, panic, or distress.
If a result feels wrong
Do not try it. Change the settings, add the concern to “Not for us,” or leave the activity entirely. To report an unsafe result, email hello@spark-lab.app. Confirm that this reporting inbox is monitored before public launch.
This safety guidance should receive qualified legal and subject-matter review before launch.
